The Go Go’s We Got the Beat album cover recreated in junk

Check out the amazing artwork that is currently being used as the cover image for the official Go Go’s Facebook page. The artwork is the creation of San Francisco artist Jason Mecier. Mecier has worked for over 10 years creating 3-D mosaic portraits of pop culture icons, including Phyllis Diller, Rosie O’Donnell, P!nk, RuPaul, Margaret Cho, Scissor Sisters and many others. The portraits are created from items such as make-up, candy, pills, food and discarded junk donated from the celebrities themselves. Check out Mecier’s website for more information at a look at samples of his work.
