Mudvayne reveals special blacklight album art

According to Blabbermouth.com, American heavy metal band is trying a unique packaging concept with their forthcoming self titled album. The album art is being printed using a blacklight-reactive ink and will only be visible under ultraviolet light.

Reportedly the first album to ever use blacklight-reactive ink (making it only visible under a black light), the CD’s cover image was created by world-renowned tattoo king Paul Booth.

Every bit of art and text in the packaging of the record will be printed on ink that can only be seen under a black light (see video below).

I have posted both the album cover and the video demonstration below. Please be advised that the video contains the f-word and is not safe for work.

The illustration reminds me of something from Lord of the Rings. It is a very cool image and I’m sure it looks even creepier under the blacklight.
