AAX user Foundation has added the covers for both the clean and explicit versions of the forthcoming Eminem Relapse: Refill album to the gallery.
The cover is simply a new version of the cover for Relapse (right) with a white background. I am somewhat disappointed that a new version this cover was not created for the expanded album. Lady Gaga recently released an expanded version of The Fame with two new covers, one for the standard edition and another for the deluxe.
A press release was issued a few days ago with a square black and white publicity photo of Eminem. That led me to consider the possibility that Relapse: Refill would have new album art. Sadly, that was not the case. Relapes: Refill is scheduled to be released on December 21.
The cover for Susan Boyle’s forthcoming album I Dreamed A Dream has been added to the AAX gallery. The cover was revealed ealier today on Amazon.co.uk. It is surprising that a big PR launch was not planned for this much anticipated album. Instead, it was quietly added to the online retailer. The last time I checked, the artist’s website had not even been updated to include the new cover.
The AAX gallery has been updated to include two popular forthcoming albums. Glee: The Music, Volume 1 is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on November 3. The 2009 reissue of Barry Manilow’s In The Swing of Christmas is set to drop on October 13.
A few of days ago, I reported on the new Robbie Williams album Reality Killed The Video Star and included what I believed to be the album cover (right). As often happens, the image turned out to be a publicity photo that was used as a temporary working album cover.
The final album cover was released today and I think it is inferior to the publicity photo. The cover features Williams on a motorcycle and looking none too glamorous. I’m not quite sure what he’s going for with this album cover. It looks like a snapshot that was taken on a family outing to the desert.
Also, the quality of the photograph is not that great. It is very grainy and looks as if it were taken during a dust storm — which is more than likely. At least in the publicity shot Williams looks rather dashing in a jacket and tie. The cover below makes him looks more like a NASCAR dad.
